WHERE TO PURCHASE TRACED FAMILIES AVAILABLE IN THE PDF FORMAT
I have traced families professionally since 1960 and have a vast collection. Many of my books published by Genealogical Publishing Company et al are no longer available. out-of-print. Initially, I thought that the Internet was an excellent resource for preservation. Yet, over the past 66 years, many free genealogy websites disappeared from the Internet, particularly family histories. Thus, much has been lost.
My experience now reveals that books and other publications do not survive.
I foresee another means of preserving one's ancestry. That is, to offer them as PDF files. This method would help families preserve their history. Also, PDF files can be shared with family members.
